The most powerful feature that eXtreme Movie Manager has is the ability to get data from the Internet. It uses a particular technology called "MagicScript". The CHAINS is the natural evolution of Scripts.
We all know that every web-site has it's special feature : for example IMDB is really good, but isn't suitable for French people because the Plot and the Comments are in english language, another example is that the cover and posters are not so good. the Chains will help us to define a group of scripts that will work togheter for download all information from different web sites, providing us with the best infomation and covers that internet can offer.

The structure of the Import Window is the same as scripts :



The first thing you have to do is to check the movies you want import, in this example you can see that "Matrix" movie will be imported.
The second thing is the right "Chain", as you can see, you can choose from many chains, and every one of it can have different script that can import information & covers.
In the example the chains will download information from IMDB, COVER-COMOZ and MOVIE-MISTAKES at the same time.

When you have select it, you can start by pressing the "Import Movies With Selected Chain" button or by pressing "Import Movies With Default Chain" if you want use every time the same without choose it.

Now the Engine will start download information, and the Engine Window will be showed

The Button Bar :



When you click on a chain you will see that these buttons will activated.

When you click on the NEW Button, the Chain's Editor window will open, and you will be able to create a new one.

With the EDIT Button, you will launch the EDITOR of chain, that will assist you in creating chains. If you want know more go to the Chains Editor's Help

If you press DELETE Button you will delete the selected chain.

With REFRESH Button the list of all chains will be reload again.

In the MANAGER you can select the chain you want show in the list and the chians that is obsolete for you.

The DEFAULT Button is for set the default chain; it's useful if you use always the same and you don't want select it every time you import information.
